I want to become a franchisee, what is my first step?

Is financing available?
Hooters of America, LLC does not provide financing at this time.
What is the profitability of the business?
There is no simple answer to this question. There are many variables that make it impossible to predict future results with any certainty, including such factors as: sales, location, occupancy and operating costs, the financing terms, your ability to manage and control the business and other factors.
What happens after I submit my online application?
We will email you a confirmation receipt when we receive your online application. It will detail the next steps in the application review process.

Once you have been qualified as a prospective franchisee you will be given a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). This disclosure process is mandated by Federal and state laws and is one of several steps within the approval process. You are required to print one copy of the next to last page “Receipt”, date it, sign it, and return the executed receipt back to the Franchise Director who will be communicating back with you. The receipt does not commit you to anything, nor does it commit HOA to provide you with the opportunity to obtain a franchise. All it does is certify that you have received the document.
What is the initial investment cost?
The cost of real estate varies greatly country to country, as does the cost of construction. An accurate cost of real estate and construction cost should be researched locally as it should also include Equipment, Furniture, Memorabilia and Signage.
How long does the Hooters of America Franchise process take?
The process time varies. It could take between 6 to 8 months to complete any due diligence, legal reviews and market reviews.
Once approved, how long do I have to build and open my first restaurant?
You will have 6 to 12 months to complete your market plan, real estate review, training and operations preparations.
What kind of support is available to me as a Hooters of America Franchisee?
Hooters of America provides initial and on-going support for your franchise. This includes: Operations, Development, Training, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Marketing.
What should I look for in a restaurant location?
Visit the "Development Process" page to familiarize yourself with the preferred Site Characteristics and Demographics required for a franchise location. There are numerous additional steps necessary before we approve a site for development as a new restaurant location.
